It would be a tragedy if policy makers use the conclusions of this "study" to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of electronic cigarettes for smoking cessation purposes.

In contrast, however, the very same agency is prepared to pull thousands of electronic cigarettes from the market even though there really is no reliable evidence of any harms being caused by these products (with the exception of exploding batteries, which the agency should immediately address via a manufacturing standard requirement).
