The proposed deeming regulations would immediately prohibit electronic cigarette companies from informing consumers of the following, each of which is true:

Health officials, of course, continue to deny a link to the ban of electronic cigarettes but rather instead blame on cuts to anti-smoking programs statewide. They also blame it on the rise of young smokers and the current methodology of deterring smoking is outdated. So instead they want to dump more money into anti-smoking programs to counter the new rise of new smokers.

"Smoking is not uniformly more hazardous than simply taking an exam."

Even the e-cigarette industry itself supports this legislation. How ironic, then, that the state's physicians, along with other "anti-smoking" groups, are opposing this bill, which was enacted by the legislature and awaits the governor's signature. The "anti-smoking" and "health" groups are urging the governor to veto the bill.
