It shouldn't take a rocket toxicologist to figure out that electronic cigarettes - which contain no tobacco - have immense benefits over traditional tobacco products. It shouldn't take a rocket epidemiologist to figure out that eliminating almost all of the more than 10,000 chemicals and 60+ carcinogens in cigarettes is going to result in a safer product. And anyone who has read the numerous laboratory, toxicology, and clinical studies of electronic cigarettes and tobacco cigarettes should understand that vaping is much safer than smoking.

On this Friday afternoon, I want to give a huge shout out to the literally tens of thousands of "anecdotes" out there who have successfully quit smoking via the use of electronic cigarettes.

My first vendor was a small startup that recently opened for business. Their place was smaller than most B&Ms, but they did have a dedicated room for E-Juice making unlike some other stores I’ve seen that has it out in the open. The owner/E-Juice maker explained to me that everything they do is hand made that is customers can choose whatever ratio and nicotine levels they want when they purchase. Some stores pre-make their E-Juice so that they can easily and quickly check out their customers. The owner believed more in customer service than that of speed and convenience as he knows every person is different in what he/she wants and he would much rather have a happy customer than someone who is dissatisfied.

Let’s bring up the math again, I have 9ml out of a 10ml bottle full of VG and so I’m looking for only 1ml of flavoring. I wanted strawberry banana E-Juice so 0.5ml of strawberry and 0.5ml of banana. Easy enough, right I thought so too but as I was extracting 0.5ml of strawberry flavoring the bottle slipped and flavoring spilled out of the glass vial. Cleaning that up was the easy part, but getting the scent of strawberry out of the table was near impossible. These are concentrated flavorings and extremely strong to begin with but when the flavoring gets soaked in, it doesn’t come out. In fact, it has been a week and my table still smells like strawberries! I learned from my first mistake and this time I wrapped a small towel around the banana flavoring glass vial, this way if it spilt the towel will soak up the flavoring instead of the table. Thankfully I didn’t make another blunder and was able to add the banana flavoring into the E-Juice bottle I was creating. So I got my base, my nicotine, and my flavoring. I’m done, right Nope, not even close.

Instead, the federal government has helped protect the tobacco market by making this unscientific statement for them.
