Well, around midday I started to get groggy and that’s normally when I need my midday “pick me up” so that I don’t fall asleep after lunch. The E-Juice didn’t change this at all; I still felt like I was going to pass out at my cubicle without my coffee or energy drink. 1. E-cigarettes are a "gateway to nicotine addiction."

The rest of the story is that the study actually did not find that 11.9% of the former smokers were addicted to nicotine at follow-up. Nor did it find that 2.9% of the baseline nonsmokers were currently addicted to nicotine.

The misinformation in the tobacco control field is so widespread that hardly a day goes by that an anti-smoking advocate somewhere doesn't publicly declare that smoking may be no more dangerous than vaping. Yesterday, it was the Sedgwick County Health Department (Wichita, KS), which wrote in an op-ed in the Kansas City Star:

This is not the way public health is supposed to be. But this is what happens when an abstinence-only mentality takes over in any area of public health, whether it be nicotine addiction or heroin addiction.
