Instead of worrying about banning electronic cigarettes in every park, sidewalk, and beach in the country, anti-smoking groups should get back to the business of trying to reduce smoking: that means focusing on promoting smoke-free workplaces in the states that still don't offer such protection and embracing e-cigarettes as a smoking cessation and harm reduction strategy.

While many of these restrictions are reasonable, the final restriction mentioned - the prohibition on electronic cigarette companies claiming that these products are safer than tobacco cigarettes - is both inappropriate and devastating to the public health interest.

Now some establishments (especially bars) have weighed in and allowed vaping indoors. I personally always ask the bartender or the manager on duty whether it is okay or not. Leave your fog machine at home and instead bring your mod (or ) that gets the job done but doesn’t turn your local watering hole into a rave at anightclub.
