Based on the experience of vapers, there is strong and compelling evidence that the flavors lead vapers away from tobacco taste, not towards it. Vapers consistently report that the use of the flavors helps them lose their taste for tobacco and makes it more difficult for them to return to cigarette smoking.

The failure of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act does call for criticism. But that criticism should not be leveled at the colors Gold, Silver, and Blue. The criticism should be directed at the anti-smoking groups and politicians who sold out the health of the public for political gain.

This is why I find it so troubling that some major voices in the e-cigarette community are arguing that RCTs should not be conducted and only survey studies are of value.
