In my opinion, rather than being an objective scientific review of the literature, this article is little more than a hatchet job on e-cigarettes. The authors clearly have reached a pre-determined conclusion that e-cigarettes are not helpful in smoking cessation and they stretch science beyond recognition in trying to get the published scientific evidence to support this conclusion.

While the Board of Health was "courageous" enough to ban smoking at all private clubs, it was not "courageous" enough to similarly ban smoking at the city's own public club -- the Garden House Banquet Hall at Look Park.

Sabrina Tavernise put together an outstanding, insightful, and very well-written article about the electronic cigarette debate within the tobacco control movement for a front-page Sunday New York Times .
